Post Vacation

I just spent a wonderful 9 days on vacation in Bogota, Colombia. My daughter and I took the opportunity to spend time together before she goes off to university soon. We saw lots of friends and since I thoroughly enjoy shopping we did plenty of that as well! It was a great time filled with so much love. The people of Colombia are some of the most amazing and compassionate people I have ever met.

More to come this week including photos and some interesting things I learned about myself, life and connection.

5 Things I Learned On Vacation

  1. Stay in the moment. Enjoy where you are and what you are doing. Live each moment fully.

  2. Focus more on people than things, events or places. In order to build people up it’s important to listen and give them the time and attention they deserve. This also builds connection between you and others.

  3. Take time to refresh, renew and rejuvenate yourself. This may sound selfish but it isn’t since it benefits everyone in your life!

  4. Immerse yourself in the culture, truly experiencing the lifestyle and ways of the people who surround you.

  5. Keep a journal and include in it photos of your trip. This is a priceless keepsake of your adventures, people you met, favorite places, etc.

Had a most wonderful vacation with friends! There is nothing quite like forever friends.
