It’s important to share what we learn in life. Whether it’s from a book, a class, a friend or an experience, pass it on. I believe we need each other and that we were never meant to do life alone.
In my Bible Study class, Priscilla Shirer is sharing the life of Jonah with us.
Here are a couple of the things we have learned so far. I hope that you will be enlightened, encouraged and extremely blessed!
~It is easy to say that God and His plans are our most essential endeavors. It is entirely another thing to live like this is so.
~If you find yourself balking at God’s instructions in your life, it is an indication of the importance you place on God and His will.

Through this study I am learning the importance of divine interventions. Whatever God has for you, it is necessary to seek it, embrace it and obey Him. Sometimes we have our own agenda and we want things our way. However if we call ourselves believers, then we must be obedient to the beliefs we claim!

As I was doing my devotion this morning, I came across something that I knew, but reading it again in print made me think of it differently somehow:
God’s grace is greater than our sin.
So that reminded me of this verse in Philippians:
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:9 NIV)
Therefore, shouldn’t we, being imitators, followers, believers, also have grace toward others when they sin against us?
In most situations, that is not easy and sometimes it does not even sound like an option. However we do it for our God. He will take care of everything else when we obey Him.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:7
Every time I get the opportunity to visit other churches and meet Pastors and their amazing teams, I am overjoyed!
Currently, I am in Boston, visiting two of my adult children. My son lives in Washington, D.C., but met us here for a couple of days. My daughter lives here and so Sunday we went to her church, StoryHeights.
When you walk into a church, or in this case a movie theater turned church for the day, and you are greeted with such warmth that you feel at home, well..you feel at home!!
And if that is the first glimpse of any church someone gets, we are definitely doing what God has called us to do! Being His ambassadors. Being His hands and feet. Giving our best for Him.
I thoroughly enjoyed Pastor Tyler’s message. His transparency in sharing the fact that in and of himself he did not want to teach on this particular subject was genuine. However, as we know, it really doesn’t matter what we want or don’t want, the only thing that matters is what God tells us to do, or in this case say.
Obedience is important to God! It reflects the condition of our heart and the level of our loyalty.
God always keeps His word, always does what He says He’s going to do.
It’s important for us to listen and obey Him! Stay true to the One who believes in you.
