As we were all sitting around talking, I was deeply grateful for this time together. Time spent under no obligation, no agenda, marking no life event, simply ~ time given freely, like arms wide open and hearts prepared for love and hugs!</p> <p>One of the highlights of the day was a conversation I had with 7 year old Nicholas who is in 1st grade. This is one amazing kid! Articulate, smart, determined and driven. You see, his Mom, my first cousin, who I grew up with, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) years before Nicholas was born. His goal is to find a cure for MS so that he can cure his Mom. He says he is counting down the years until he can get to medical school! He is so excited about it that when talking to him, his excitement gets transferred to you and you are infused with his energy and his dream. At 7 years old, he has a very specific vision and I know that he has the determination to see it through!
