Sharing The Love ~ Bernadine Young

I am a follower of Jesus, an encourager, a parent, a dreamer, an Internet Campus Pastor, a communicator, a writer.

31

No, not my age!!
31-the number of days I’ve been on the road!
24 of those days have been traveling with my son, and it has been the most enlightening, encouraging and entertaining road trip I’ve had in a while!
I have learned much about life, love and the pursuit of God.
I have not only traveled thousands of miles and seen so many friends, and met amazing new ones, but I have been moved to make changes in my own life for the glory of God.

As we live our lives, our faith should be progressing to higher levels!

No Distractions

My desire is to be so focused on God that nothing can discourage me from living a life that brings Him nothing but glory!
I want to be encouraged FOR Him, living only FOR Him in a consistent and constant way, without allowing anything or anyone or any thought to distract me from His love.
When God is our center, it is then that we are most able to be all that we were created to be. It is then that we can give like He gives, love like He loves and forgive like He forgives.
I’m reminded of times when I’ve felt fully engulfed in Him and I want those moments totally alive in me constantly, as long as there’s breath in these lungs.

Day 16 -traveling with my favorite pastor, who also happens to be my son!
As Blane is on a support raising trip for 30 days and quite a few thousand miles this summer, I have joined him.
It has been amazing!
More to come… .

I am forgiven, so I forgive. I have learned that forgiveness is something we can’t think about, it’s something we must do- quickly! And it doesn’t matter who’s right, it’s our calling to forgive. God knows our intentions and our hearts. “Forgiveness is the bridge to heaven” I heard someone say recently. I forgive, because I want to walk that bridge. I think about Jesus and how, when He was dying on a cross, after being brutally beaten, He asked His Heavenly Father to forgive those who were inflicting pain on him. (Luke 23:24) If He can forgive at a time like that, and He commands US to forgive, I will forgive.
We see so many examples in the Bible about forgiveness, yet there are times we feel somehow our circumstances are above forgiveness. And that would also imply that we somehow feel someone doesn’t deserve forgiveness.
Who are we to pick and choose WHO is exempt from forgiveness?
Trust God, He knows best.
We are forgiven, therefore we forgive.

While traveling over the past few weeks, I got to see family and friends and relax in the community of it all!
It’s amazing how friendships can remain, grow and energize over time. And how when friends meet up again, time hasn’t seemed to interfere with the friendship, you simply begin where you left off the last time you were together!

I find pure joy in knowing that these life time friends will be eternal friends ~

I recently visited my son, Spencer, in Georgia where he is attending college. We had a great time together and I enjoy being with him every opportunity I get! Spencer is an amazing young man, incredibly talented, extremely passionate, wholeheartedly present when we are together, and one of the funniest people i’ve ever known! I learn so much with each visit, about him, his friends, and about myself. I am so grateful for my son and for the sweet time we had together. I am also grateful that we walk this journey alongside one another and that we are more than family.

Love this! Took it as I was driving through west Texas.

Sometimes we find ourselves wondering why we are in a certain place in our lives.. Maybe why we are surrounded by certain people. Perhaps because we have tried to get along with them in the workplace and we just simply don’t connect. Or maybe because we are born into the same family, but somehow over the years our lives have taken different paths and we have less and less in common.
Why does God place us together? What does He see for the relationship? We don’t need to know! We simply have to keep doing what He has asked us to do. Love. It doesn’t even matter what they do or don’t do in response. That is not our responsibility or even our concern.

All we need to do is be obedient to the One we serve and

Love!
